Most high voltage heaters can be used with Mysa for Baseboard. Mysa for baseboard can be used for these heater types:

. Mysa is rated, tested, and certified for controlling up to 16 Amps and can only be installed on a 20 Amp circuit breaker. If installed on a 30 Amp breaker, the thermostat could somehow get overloaded, or the heater could malfunction and draw more than 20A and ultimately result in device failure or damage.

At this time Mysa is only compatible with 

 hydronic baseboard heaters, this is a very common baseboard heater choice and is available from a number of large brands across North America.

In order to determine if your heater is a self-contained baseboard heater you simply need to ensure that this baseboard does not receive water from an external source via a pipe or hose. Self-contained baseboard heaters contain and circulate the water internally so this does not need to move to another source to be heated.

Mysa is currently not compatible with oil-based heating systems, due to the need to track additional criteria Mysa is currently not able to control and monitor the heat of these systems. 

You can also verify if your current thermostat is low voltage, and can potentially be replaced by another smart thermostat compatible with low voltage heating systems.

Nest is designed to work with low-voltage heating systems (oil furnaces, whole-home heat pumps, natural gas, etc.)

Mysa is designed for high-voltage (120V-240V) heating systems that are not compatible with Nest. Systems like electric baseboard heating, in-wall fan-forced heaters, and some convection heaters.

Any work with high voltage equipment can be dangerous or even fatal if you do not take proper precautions. You should 

. This will help you determine if Mysa is compatible with your heating system. If you are certain that your gang box only has two wires, Mysa is not compatible with that system. However, just because this one gang box has two wires, it doesn't mean that all the other gang boxes in your house have two wires. Be sure to check all the other gang wires in your home.

Take a look at the picture below, there are only two wires connected to the thermostat. However, there is also another pair of wires, the 2 white ones, which would make for a total of 4 wires coming from this gang box. This scenario is compatible with Mysa.

If it is a single-phase 208V service, then yes, Mysa can work. If it is a three-phase service that requires the use of a double pole thermostat, then Mysa will not work since its only a single pole thermostat.

Yes, as long as the heater is a single-phase heater within the energy limits for the Mysa thermostat.

No, Mysa does not work with heaters that have a built-in control knob/dial. Although, it may be possible to get an electrician to add an electrical box and wire Mysa to the heater.

No, Mysa is designed for high voltage heaters only. It is not designed to control low voltage systems such as electric fireplaces, gas furnaces, or pellet stoves.

Yes, Mysa can be used with most Radiant Heating Systems. However, please ensure that the total wattage to each thermostat is less than 16A (1900W at 120V or 3800W at 240V). It is also recommended to select "Radiant Mode" in the heater settings on the Mysa App for the V1.
